Several PMMB Batch 1 2022 Academic Advisors visited and observed PNL students at PT. PIM.
Lhokseumawe - On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, a group of lecturers from the Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic (PNL) were assigned to serve as industrial internship advisors for PNL students participating in Batch 1 2022 Certified Student Internship Program (PMMB) at PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PT. PIM) North Aceh conducted a visitation and monitoring activity.
Diana, the MBKM Internship Coordinator and Head of UPT Career Development and Student Entrepreneurship (PK2M) PNL, reported that industrial internship supervisors from the Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Commerce visited and monitored [the internship students] at PT. PIM.
According to the lecturer from the Department of Commerce, known to her coworkers as Jeng Diana, "our goal for this visit is to monitor and evaluate the implementation of PMMB Batch 1 in 2022, in order to get input and evaluate the hard skills and soft skills of students participating in internships".
"So that if there are any problems in the field, they can be corrected promptly, find the right answer, and perhaps the following batch will be even better," said Diana, who completed her Master's Degree at Universitas Syiah Kuala.
Diana further stated that the meeting was fully facilitated by PT. PIM's Head of Learning Development Center, Dedy Hariyadi Hasan. So that the PNL team can connect and talk directly with industry supervisors at each student placement location in the office environment to PT. PIM's manufacturing plant.
Diana thanked the PNL and PT. PIM management, as well as all other parties who consistently supported the initiative.
Diana is also hoping for the long-term viability of this highly advantageous industrial internship program.
"For PNL students, in particular, it is hoped that this industrial internship program will remain viable and continue to offer positive benefits for enhancing competence and preparing for the working world. The smooth collaboration between PNL and PT. PIM, however, is equally crucial "Diana put it to rest.
