Empowering Youth, PAG Collaborates with PNL Holds Welding Training
In partnership with the Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic (PNL), PT Perta Arun Gas (PAG) offered Welding Training for Youth in 13 PAG Environmental Villages. 26 people from 13 villages will attend ten days of welding instruction and 50 hours of meetings.
This program is a continuation of PAG's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, according to Vice President Corporate Secretary Hatim Ilwan. This was given by Hatim Ilwan during the signing of the Minutes of Handover from PAG to PNL in the PNL Director's Meeting Room on Friday, December 24, 2021.
“PAG is currently assisting 13 villages in the Philippines. This program is designed to offer value and support the independence of the youth of the PAG environment," said Hatim Ilwan.
PAG is also focusing on how CSR programs may be provided to villages, according to Hatim Ilwan. Welding training for children in 13 PAG neighborhood communities is one among them. PNL certified welding teachers will train participants in their skills and knowledge to become reliable welders.
“This 10-day training program is aligned with the Lhokseumawe City Government program, God willing. Through welding training for adolescents, we are attempting to contribute to youth empowerment in Lhokseumawe,” he explained.
At the end of his speech, Hatim Ilwan asked for full support from the Lhokseumawe City Government, Lhokseumawe House of Representatives (DPRK), and PNL so that PAG could continue to develop and benefit the community.
Meanwhile, in his speech, PNL Director Ir. Rizal Syahyadi, ST. M.Eng.Sc expressed his gratitude for PAG Management's trust and confidence in carrying out this initiative. PNL's strategic human resource capacity-building partner is PAG.
“This program that was initiated is a tangible manifestation of PAG in supporting economic improvement and youth independence through increasing community capacity in Lhokseumawe City,” said the Head of PII Lhokseumawe City.
“PNL offers a Bachelor of Applied Welding and Fabrication Engineering Technology Study Program, which is Sumatra's first. Participants will be instructed by experienced lecturers and technicians who are International Welding Specialist (IWS) and International Welding Practitioner (IWP) certified for this activity," Says this University Malaya graduate.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Lhokseumawe DPRK, Ismail A. Manaf, said that a program like this must be maintained and improved by PAG next year. I hope all participants take this training seriously.
“You are one of the fortunate individuals who will be able to participate in the training; therefore, take advantage of this opportunity and complete the training so that you will have the necessary skills and knowledge in the welding sector,” he said.
