Improve the Quality of Graduates, Department of Commerce Holds Soft skill Season
The Softskill Season Commerce Department activity is held at the 3rd-floor hall of the Department of Commerce Building at the Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic (PNL). It is open to all students from level one to level four.
The Head of the Department of Commerce, Zulkarnaini, SE, M.Si.Ak. CA, said in his closing remarks on Thursday (9/12/2021), "Softskill Season Commerce Department is a routine event held by the Department of Commerce every year in the context of Upgrading and Matching SOFT SKILL, and this has entered its third year.”
"By acquiring Softskills, we hope that after graduation, students will be able to compete in the industrial sector," he hoped.
"The Department of Commerce does this as a kind of mandatory program that younger students must undertake through the existing mechanism," Zulkarnaini explained.
Furthermore, Zulkarnaini added that all students of the Department of Commerce are required to take Softskill, which is only held in the Department of Commerce.
“For Softskill, the funding comes from student self-funds that have been agreed upon by the student's guardians,” explained Zulkarnaini.
Meanwhile, Vice Director I for Academic, Student, and Alumni Affairs Zamzami, ST., M.Eng, noted on the occasion that this Softskill initiative demonstrates PNL management's sincerity in improving the quality of graduates mainly in the Department of Commerce.
“Thank you to all of the participants and the committee for making this event a success, and we hope that the knowledge gained will be valuable to students after graduation," he closed the speech.
