PNL socialized new student admissions to high school principals and operators in East Aceh, Langsa, and Aceh Tamiang

Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic (PNL) was socializing the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) for the 2023/2024 Academic Year via the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) route for the invitation route, the Computer Based Writing Examination (UTBK) - National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) for the test route, and the Mandiri route to SMA/SMK Principals and SMA/SMK School Operators in East Aceh, Langsa

This socialization activity was facilitated by the Head of the East Aceh Region Education Office (Kacabdisdik) Rahmatsah Putra, S.Pd, the Head of the Langsa City Education Office Muhammad Daud, S.Pd. M.Pd, and the Head of the Aceh Head of Education Department Tamiang Bachtiar, S.Pd. M.Pd as a follow-up to the MoU which was signed on January 13, 2023 at the PNL

Hatta said that socialization events for PNL New Student Admissions were held in three distinct locations, with SMA/SMK Principals and School Operators from East Aceh, Langsa City, and Aceh Tamiang in attendance.

"In East Aceh, it was held on Monday (16/01/23) in the hall of SMA Negeri 1 Peureulak, on Tuesday (17/01/23) in the hall of SMKN 1 Langsa, and on Wednesday (18/01/23) in the hall of SMKN 2 Karang Baru in Aceh Tamiang," revealed Hatta.

In his presentation to the Principal and Operators, Hatta explained that for the 2023 State University (PTN) entrance examination, both the Academic PTN and the Vocational PTN (Polytechnic) will be administered by the Education Test Management Center (BP3) of the Ministry of Education and Culture, and not by the Test Institute. Proceed to Higher Education (LTMPT).

The individual often known as Bung Hatta noted that the 2023 SNPMB route was more diverse than the previous year's.

"This year, Diploma III (D3) is a new option on the SNPMB. So that the available Study Programs (Prodi) are more diverse, beginning with Diploma III (D3), Applied Bachelor (D4), and Bachelor (S1) levels. "In addition, new students will be able to select two study programs from two separate PTNs or the same PTN," he stated.

Hatta said, the primary difference between the current year and the previous year was also related to the selection of the Study Program. This academic year, all students in the Science, Social Sciences, and Languages Departments are permitted to select cross-major study programs (Free and responsible).

For the SNBT path, the UTBK exam materials include Scholastic Potential Tests, Mathematical Reasoning, Indonesian literacy, and English literacy "He elucidated.

In PNL, there are six departments, including Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Commerce, and ICT, offering a total of 28 study programs, including 15 Applied Bachelor Study Programs, 11 Diploma III Study Programs, one Applied Master Study Program, and one Diploma II Study Fast Track. The Single Tuition Fee (UKT) is also quite reasonable.

"UKT rates range between 2.5 and 3.5 million rupiah. Meanwhile, tuition contributions for the Independent Pathway are between IDR 2,500,000 and IDR 5,000,000. And the application for a reduction in UKT can be made during the third semester, subject to the applicable terms and circumstances "he noted.

In addition, Hatta stated that the quota for prospective new students in PNL this year is at least 40% for the SNBP route, at least 30% for the SNBT route, and at most 30% for the Mandiri route.

"Participation in the 2023 SNBP is restricted to SMA/MA/SMK schools with a National School Identification Number (NPSN). A-accredited schools must have forty percent of the top students, B-accredited schools must have twenty-five percent of the top students, and C-accredited schools must have five percent of the top students "He elucidated.
