Lhokseumawe - Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic (PNL) is increasingly trusted as one of the leading vocational universities in Indonesia. The evidence is that the Bengkalis State Polytechnic (Polbeng) chose to implement Merdeka Learning when as many as seven laboratory staff or technicians, along with one lecturer, chose to conduct a comparative study at the Mechanical Engineering Department (JTM) PNL for three days on Sunday, August 21, 2022. This information was obtained from the Head of the organizing committee, Dr. Indra Mawardi, MT as representative of the head of the JTM Department, Hamdani, S.ST., MT.

"JTM-PNL has conducted Management Training, Workshop, and Laboratory Management for Polbeng Laborans, which is one type of Independent Learning activity," Indra Mawardi explained.

Indra Mawardi, a doctoral alumnus of Syiah Kuala University (USK) further stated that the activity was conducted over three days, from August 18 to 20, 2022, with the participation of seven laboratory assistants and one lecturer from JTM-Polbeng.

The purpose of this activity, according to Indra, is to increase the knowledge of JTM-Polbeng laboratory assistants in the area of governance and management of workshops and laboratories.

The workshop and laboratory management system implemented at JTM-PNL were both directly introduced to the training participants for three days of theoretical instruction, according to Indra.

"In addition to training activities, an MoU was signed between JTM-PNL and JTM-Polbeng. On this occasion, we also discussed program sustainability, such as certified training, joint publications, student internships, and so on, "said Indra.

"Finally, JTM-Polbeng hopes that this activity will be the start of good cooperation in improving the academic atmosphere for both parties," he concluded.
